Covid procedures
Although the Covid rate is rapidly decreasing we still have extra measures and protection in place to protect and safeguard our families. Please drop and collect your child at the door and maintain social distancing when doing so. Its important to be considerate of other and please be patient with the staff. On arrival children’s hands will be washed and they will be organised into age group rooms.
Throughout the session increased hand washing will take place and they will remain in their age group rooms.
Your child should bring in a named water bottle and their packed lunch if staying all day. Please remember not to bring any toys or comforters to pre school due to cross contamination.
If a child has any direct contact with someone with covid or they are in their household, they need to self-isolate for 14 days.
If your child shows any covid symptoms during the session. You be called and expected to collect your child. Your child will need to be tested and only allowed to return if a negative result is achieved. It is advisable that if this were to happen that the whole house should be tested.
Please add us on Facebook ‘Stars Pre-School welland’ for regular pictures and updates on what’s happening within the Pre-School. We try to upload daily and would love to see your comments and likes.
Child Information
It is really important that we have the most up to date information about your child. Please inform us if any of your information changes, such as phone numbers, address, or you would like to add a family member to the collection on the enrolment form. Any changes in your child’s health should also be shared with us. If your child has an injury at home, please let us know and complete an existing injury form on Baby’s Days, detailing how the injury occurred and whether medical treatment was needed. Your child’ key person or a member of Management can support you with this.
Packed Lunches
From September 7th, 2020 there will be no school lunches, If your child is attending either a morning or full day session you will need to provide them with a packed lunch. Details below.
We love seeing a variety of healthy packed lunches at mealtimes. This also gives the children a key time to talk to their friends about the different foods they have and generally about their day. This is just a reminder that we do not allow nuts, rice, takeaways, and fizzy drinks in the Pre-School.
30-hour reconfirmation
It is vital that you reconfirm your 30-hour code on time. If you do not this will jeopardise your child’s place at the setting. The Gov.uk should alert you that this needs re confirming. If you think your child will be eligible for 30 hours in Jan 2021 you need to apply from September 2020 and alert us so that we can see what spaces, we have available for you.
School places
If your child was born between 01/09/2016 and 31/08/2017 you will need to apply for their school place. Applications usually open early October. Once we have a date, we will inform you.
The deadline for this is 15th January 2021. Please make sure you apply before this date and inform Kerry or Kim when you applied and what school you have applied for.
