Our centrally located nursery offers 95 places for children aged from 3 months to 5 years in our Pre-School and Nursery, and from 4 years to 11 years in our After-School Club and Holiday Club.

Little Stars Day Nursery is situated on Dogsthorpe Road, near Central Park and just off Queen’s Drive. In fact, we’re right next to Queen’s Drive Infant School, Thomas Deacon Academy and All Saints School, making our location ideal for busy local families. The Nursery is open for 51 weeks of the year, and the Pre-School is term time only.

Meet Our Award-winning Manager
Ashley
Our manager Ashley has been awarded Covid-19 Hero of the year 2021 at the nursery world awards. Little stars was chosen as a pandemic hub for key workers in Peterborough, the settings was thrust into a brand-new way of working overnight.
Ashley’s role was to ensure the setting remained opened during lockdowns liaise with the local authority to provide childcare places for key workers all over Peterborough, and adapt that provision to be COVID- secure from day one of lockdown.
The task was enormous, but Ashley was determined to show that Little Stars was the best place for these children, and she acted quickly to adapt the provision, advertise the setting, so parents were aware of its change in function, and support staff to run the setting .
She set as standard of excellence, care and commitment which meant the nursery was able to carry on providing outstanding childcare and creating a safe haven for families in the centre of a world in chaos.
“I have been in childcare for over 20 years, I took a break from nurseries to start up my own childminding business which I did for 8 years. I also volunteered as chair of a preschool setting for two years in this time. This reignited my love of nursery life and I applied with Stars Day Nurseries. I hold a BA in Early Years as well Early Years Teacher status and I am passionate and committed to delivering high quality care for every child within Little Stars Day Nursery.
As the manager, I work directly with my staff team sharing this passion, commitment and drive to ensure high standards of care and education, inspiring their own professional development and supporting them in making a difference to the lives of the children entrusted to us and enabling them to reach their full potential.”

Aspirational Curriculum
Stars Day Nurseries have our very own unique curriculum called Aspire. This means that every member of our experienced team strives to meet and exceed the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Guidance (DfE, 2021) guidance.
The curriculum that underpins everything we do at Little Stars focuses on five key areas: Learn, Achieve, Protect, Develop, be Ready. Through purposeful play, children will learn physical development, communication and language, as well as personal, social and emotional development.
