Meet The Manager

Hi, I’m Georgia, the  Manager of Stars Day Nursery Oakdale. I started here in August 2021 and worked my way from an Early Years Educator within the room to the Nursery Manager in July 2024.

I previously studied at the University of Hertfordshire where I was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and then a diploma in Sustainable Planning and Transport. While I was studying for these degrees, I decided I wanted a career change. I studied for my Early Years Teaching degree, which I completed in September 2021 being awarded my Level 7 Early Years Teacher status.

I really love working with children, I find it extremely rewarding. I love to watch the effort each individual child has when working towards their own goals and helping them to develop and grow in all their unique skills. I enjoy teaching children new things and seeing their reactions and listening to their questions as they enhance their understanding.

Our Aspirational Curriculum

At Stars Day Nurseries, we use our own unique curriculum, called ASPIRE. Developed by us to reflect the needs of the communities we operate in, the caring and passionate team at Stars Day Nursery Oakdale works from this to ensure every child in our care can enjoy a fantastic start to their journey in education.

The framework meets the DfE’s Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Guidance, and comprises five elements: Learn, Achieve, Protect, Develop and Be Ready.

These are the things we teach children to aspire to, focusing on a range of topics to give them a head start on primary education and prepare them for what lies ahead – in school and outside it.

Each child is assigned one key member of staff who works particularly closely with them to ensure these aspirations are achieved. We want every child in our care to blossom into a positive, confident and curious individual, which is what we work towards every day.

We consider working with parents to be an important part of achieving this goal, and seek to build a strong partnership to give your child all the support they need to flourish.

For more information on our ASPIRE curriculum, view our guide online here or contact our nursery in Peterborough.
