”Hello! I’m Kayleigh, the manager of Stars Preschool Ravensthorpe. I have worked in Early years for 11 years now and worn a variety of hats, but this one is the one I am most proud to wear.
I have been part of the Stars family since 2021 and have had many fun, exciting and memorable moments already.
I am Level 3 qualified in early years and a Level 3 SENDCO lead for our setting.
I am passionate in creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment where all our children can learn and develop with our carefully thought out curriculum that encourages exciting and new experiences for every individual child.
But most of all… I LOVE to have FUN and be silly with the Ravensthorpe team and children.”

Our team at our nursery in Ravensthorpe are passionate about improving children’s learning within diverse communities. We use our unique ASPIRE curriculum to ensure high standards are met following the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Guidance (DfE, 2023). Our curriculum is driven by five core concepts:

At our pre school, we encourage parents and carers to have a voice because we understand the importance of feedback and communicating about your child’s progress. All of our team members are happy to help with any questions you may have, with your child’s key person being the best person to ask about your child’s development.

Our Quality Childcare Setting
Our children benefit from a large outdoor area to encourage educational learning through play, as well as stimulating indoor environments. The team at Star Days Nurseries consists of bubbly, dedicated and experienced early years professionals who make sure all children feel confident and can learn and develop to their full potential.
Fees & Funding from 9 months old, 2 3 & 4 years of age:
Across all Stars Day Nurseries settings we do not charge for consumables, all resources and materials are provided for your child at no extra cost. We feel that The Government ‘Best Start in Life‘ funding should be as straightforward and easy to understand as possible – choosing a nursery for your child is a tough enough decision in itself, after all. We are pleased to offer a range of flexible session options to help you make the most of your Government funded hours.
- Eligible working families can receive 30 Government Funded hours when their child reaches 9 months old
- Families receiving some additional forms of Government support receive 15 hours funded childcare.
- Eligible working families will receive 15 hours of funded childcare.
- All three and four-year-old children can get 15 hours per week of funded childcare and early years education, for 38 weeks per year. This is a total of 570 hours of funded early years education each year.
- Your child can start funded childcare in the term following your child’s third birthday, for a maximum of six terms before your child’s fifth birthday. This offer is fully inclusive of all children.
- If you require additional sessions beyond your funded hours these can be arranged- see table below for our fees.

Included in your child’s session we offer:
- A free healthy breakfast
- Free snacks
- A tailored educational curriculum based on the individual needs of the child

Our pre-school has a dedicated baby room for babies from 9 months old and a pre-school room for 2-5 year olds.
Stars Pre-School Ravensthorpe offers both indoor and outdoor environments. We regularly hold activities outdoors to offer unique experiences for the children, such as our popular Gardening Club or little P.E classes to prepare for school.
