We hope you all had a lovely half term break.
Unfortunately, Mehrukh left us just before half term. We wish her all best in her new role.
Kathy will now be based in Yellow group alongside Emma.
Each term the children enjoy learning a new core story or stories.
Yellow group are focusing on colour recognition and have chosen ‘The greedy Rainbow’ as their core story.
They will also be looking at: Wow said the owl, and Brown bear, Brown bear what do you see
Following on from their all about me theme this term, Blue group have chosen ‘It’s okay to be different’ as their core story.
Due to current restrictions, we are aware that communication with your child’s key person may be more limited than usual at drop off and pick up times. To ensure that we can work with parents as effectively as possible and ensure you are kept up to date with your child’s development, at the end of November we will be offering parent’s consultations via telephone conversation with your child’s key person. You will receive an up to date progress tracker for your child over the next couple of weeks. If you would like to book an appointment, please speak to your child’s key person. Telephone appointments will be no longer than 10minutes.
Dates and times are as follows:
Monday 23rd November 1pm-2:30pm Emma’s key children
Tuesday 24th November 1pm-2:30pm Kathy’s key children
Monday 30th November 9:30am -11am Kerry’s key children
Tuesday 1st December 9:30am-11am key children
Spare clothes and water bottles
Please ensure that you provide spare clothes in a bag which is clearly labelled for your child each day
Please ensure your child brings their water bottle in with them each day- These bottles are clearly labelled with your child’s photo and name and are made available to them throughout the day.
All bottles are washed and replenished mid-way through the day or when empty.
Please note we cannot refill bottles with juice.
As the weather is getting colder and wetter please provide your child with wellington boots and a waterproof coat for outside play. Thank you
If your child is absent from pre-school for any reason, please ensure that you contact the setting on 01733 330345 to inform us of the reason for their absence. It is essential that we keep a record of all absences, especially at this time.
Both groups have created my family’ areas in their rooms for the children and we would love it if you could please bring in a family photo for your child to display in their room and share with their peers. You can also email your picture to [email protected] for us to print off and display.
Please visit and like our Facebook page. Stars pre-school Ravensthorpe
For Children in need on Friday we are inviting the children to come to pre-school in colourful clothes-the more colours the better. Any donations welcome 😊
