Parnwell- September 2021

Newsletter 10 September 2021

Hello and welcome back to all our families old and new

We hope you all had a lovely summer. We have had a very busy week so far and are now getting into the swing of things again, so thank you for bearing with us.

Devika has unfortunately broken her leg, she will be returning mid-October hopefully. Her key children will be looked after by Rizwana in the meantime.

A letter about the new EYFS and what this means for you were given out before summer. Please read this so you know what to look out for. If you need another one, please ask Lisa or Kerri.

Sunday 19th is ‘Talk like a pirate day (which we will be closed for) so to celebrate this, we will be having a Dress Like a Pirate Day on Monday 20th.

A chance for everyone to dress up, children & staff.

Next week we will be making swords, hats, and eye patches with the children, so these are ready for Monday. If you could bring a plain t-shirt in also, we are going to design our own pirate t-shirts. Of course, all costumes are welcome we are just trying to keep the cost minimal for families.

We look forward to seeing you all my hearties……

On Friday 22nd October We are planning a picnic in the park before the end of half term so let’s hope the sun stays out. This is an opportunity for families to meet each other and their key person. (Please be aware due to covid restrictions changing this could change) The time for this will be 10-1 pm. As we are running a session over the park that day preschool will be closed.

Please have a look at the information board for our term dates and the information you may need.

Reminder

Please remember whilst the weather is hot children must come in with sun cream already applied and a sun hat. No open-toed shoes or shoulders uncovered, please.

Children should bring a named bag with spare clothes and shoes in, like water play, and messy play is always out. As it gets wetter children will need welly boots to play in the mud area of the garden also.

As always, the office door is open for you to pop in if you have any queries at all. Lisa and Kerri will be happy to speak with you.

Thank you for your continued support
