Can you believe it’s almost the end of term and almost the end of this year?!
There will be some changes to our usual end of year activities due to the pandemic, so I am going to give you as much information now so you can plan ahead if needed.
Dates to remember
Christmas jumper day – Friday 11th and Friday 18th December
Early closure – Friday 18th at 10.30 for morning children and 2pm for afternoon children.
Last day of term – Friday 18th December
Start of new term – Monday 4th January
Last day of term
On Friday the 18th we are planning to have a fun day filled with party food, music, dancing and games and want all children to be included. If your child does not normally attend a Friday, please see Lisa who can make alternative arrangements with you.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions there will be no Santa visit and parents will not be able to come into the grotto.
The children will still be able to go into the grotto and watch a video message from Santa and have a story before being collected. All children will receive a gift.
We are closing early on this day to enable staff to deep clean the setting whilst we are closed.
Morning session 8.30-10.30am
Afternoon session 12-2pm
All children must be collected on time.
Christmas cards
If your child wants to send in any Christmas cards, then please send them in before the 14th as these will need to be quarantined for 72 hours before they can be handed out. If you would like a list of children’s names, please ask Lisa.
Stars and sparkles Charity
We are hoping to be able to help not only our vulnerable families but families in the community also who may need some extra support over Christmas.
We are asking for donations of food items and toys so we can deliver these before we break up.
We have collected almost 100 coats to gift to families who need support,. meaning we are helping keep others warm this winter.
If you know any companies who would be willing to help donate please let us know, we want to reach as many families as we can.
If you would like support yourself please come in and speak to Lisa in confidence.
Raffles
We will be doing lots of fund raising in Parnwell to help buy as many toys as we can and food hampers also.
Raffles include:
- A meat hamper
- A Christmas eve hamper
- A new years eve hamper
Lisa will be on the door asking if anyone would like to buy a number. Please also look out on our Facebook page.
Thank you
