Welcome back to everyone, I trust you all had a lovely half term.
We have a busy 5 weeks ahead of us and some events to remember.
Date to remember
Monday 1st March – world book day! – The children can dress up as a favourite character from a story or anyone they would like to such as, princess, spiderman etc… Staff will be joining in with dressing up too and we will be reading some old-time stories such as the 3 little pigs and little red riding hood. We will also be playing Matilda for the children to watch if they choose.
Monday 8th March – children will be talking about special people with Mother’s Day coming up.
Wednesday 17th march – St Patricks day! – We will be celebrating with many Irish traditions and a visit from the naughty leprechaun ?Children can come in dressed in green this day if they like.
22nd March – Easter activities
26th March – End of term
14th April. – Start of new term
Staff will be taking children out on walks around the local area, exploring birds, numbers, and their local community. You will be asked permission on the day this happens so please say if you prefer them not to go.
Reminders
- Bring spare clothes and shoes for your child in a named bag.
- Bring in your child’s water bottle with water only. When running around they get very thirsty. Having their own water bottle enables us to control cross contamination and the children can freely have this when needed.
- Packed lunches should be cold healthy foods.
- As the weather changes please bring in sun hats and apply sun cream on your child before they come in.
COVID
Please remember to socially distance when queuing to coming to preschool and encourage your child to wait with you so staff can safely take one child at a time and follow the government guidelines.
The office is a safe space should you wish to come in and speak to Lisa about anything. Please always wear a mask to protect yourself and staff.
