Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely. Security is always a top priority for us, and all our sites have been designed with this in mind. Many share sites with local primary schools, so are located behind gates and away from the road.
All of our carers are highly trained to meet our exacting standards, and most have many years’ experience working with young children. All have at least a Level 3 certificate in childcare, and we always support our staff by providing further training, levelling up their skills and continually raising standards.
Your child won’t be bored at Stars! From laughter-filled games to fascinating and engaging lessons about the world around us, our unique ASPIRE curriculum includes a varied spectrum of activities and sessions that will fuel your child’s development.
If you think you’re going to be late to collect your child, please let us know as soon as possible. Ideally, we would ask you to make alternate arrangements for someone nearby to collect your child, but of course we will look after them and keep them safe should an emergency arise.
We offer a range of healthy meals and snacks, encouraging your children to have a balanced diet and get their 5 A Day. Many of our settings even have an in-house chef, allowing us to offer delicious hot meals. Menus vary from setting to setting, so please get in touch for further details.
We ask all parents to bring in their own collection of nappies, wipes, creams, milk feeds and a spare change of clothes, although these can be kept at the nursery if you prefer. In summer, it’s recommended to bring a hat and sun cream, and in winter a coat, gloves and warm hat for outdoor activities.
We are able to give your child medication during the day with your consent; please speak to your nursery manager for more information and to discuss your child’s requirements.
All our settings are conveniently located, with some sharing car parks with primary schools and others having their own parking spaces.
To begin with, we recommend that you book a visit to your chosen setting to make sure it’s right for you and your child. You can then explore your funding options online and get in touch with us to secure a spot for your child.
