Hello, everyone, 😊
Welcome back, we hope you all had a lovely half term.
This is the last term of the academic year, and we will be saying goodbye to half of the children as they start their new journey in reception.
Staff will be contacting parents in the upcoming weeks to share their child’s transition to school document with you.
Our core story this term is Poo in the zoo and Dear Zoo. These are to go with our topic and trip this term.
We will also be taking part in child’s art month, healthy living activities, child safety and preparing our older children for reception class ready for September.
Children are required to bring a sun hat in, even if it is cloudy. They must also come in wearing sunscreen. Staff will ask parents for this on the door and if your child doesn’t have these then they will not be able to come in until they do. Our duty is to safeguard the children at all times, and we are expecting some hot weather and wouldn’t want anyone to be burnt.
Children must also wear full shoes covering their toes to protect them from the bricks outside. A full t shirt must be worn with no shoulders exposed to ensure these don’t burn.
Water bottles must be brought in daily so we can ensure children are drinking plenty of fluids.
Please make sure your child has a change of clothes as there will be a lot of water and messy play planned.
To find out about what your child takes part in whilst in preschool please ensure you log in to your stars day nurseries app, babysdays, and follow us on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/sdn.parnwell
