‘Play: learning the natural way!’

Shining Stars Pre-school offers all children the opportunity to learn and develop within a high quality environment, both inside and out. Our dedicated and professional highly trained early years educators support and encourage autonomous active learning through play, in a safe, caring, homely atmosphere. We offer an inclusive ethos where we work closely with children and their families to ensure we meet the individual needs of every child and encourage their growing independence.

Shining Stars Pre-school opened in January 2011. The pre-school offers places for 24 children. We operate from Monday to Friday each week, catering for children aged 2 to 5 years between the hours of 8.00am – 6.00pm for 40 weeks of the year offering either a morning or afternoon session. For those children eligible for the 30 hours funded entitlement*, parents must provide a healthy packed lunch. (Please speak to us as we will provide a handout on what a healthy lunch box consists of) As the smallest setting within the Stars family, we pride ourselves on promoting a family ethos, where parents are valued as children’s first and most enduring educators. Within our cosy converted bungalow, our fully qualified, professional, dedicated early years educators focus on supporting the unique qualities and learning of every child. They celebrate their individuality and ensure they make the best progress possible during their time with us.

We believe partnerships with parents are paramount to children’s development and we excel in this, through close communication, parent consultations, regular stay and play and educationally focussed sessions, sports days and so much more. We enjoy highly positive feedback from parents who happily send subsequent siblings to us time and time again.
